This weeks post is another throwback. I am really enjoying taking the time to reflect back on shoots that were done months ago and examining how much my life has changed over the course of just a year. This year has been full of major life changes and adjustments. Some of those adjustments include adding more to my ever-growing list of things-to-do. As I manage this new balancing act and make progress in my extensive list of projects, it is nice to remember a time in my life when it was, ever so slightly, less busy.
This shoot included Jacey Reuther and her family. She has two of the cutest boys ever, and in the traditional little-boy fashion, they were more interested in everything but taking pictures. These are my favorite kinds of shoots. Photographing just adults is way too easy. If you ever want to challenge yourself as a photographer, throw some children into the mix. Photographing children is so authentic and provides the opportunity for some great candids. Kids don’t feel the pressure of getting the perfect photo and sometimes that is exactly what is needed in order to get that perfect photo. I loved being able to photograph these boys and their family and I love the results of this shoot.
